hello, spring

Welcome Spring and welcome to my backyard oasis. A little potting soil goes a long way. Here’s to enjoying springtime — get outside.
“Where flowers bloom so does hope.” – Lady Bird Johnson
“May his reign be as refreshing as the springtime rains — like the showers that water the earth.” -Psalm 72:6
“One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.” -William Shakespeare
“The earth laughs in flowers.” -E.E. Cummings
“The first sparrow of spring! The year beginning with younger hope than ever!…
What at such a time are histories, chronologies, traditions, and all written revelations?
The brooks sing carols and glees to the spring.” – Henry David Thoreau
Backyard Makeover

Come to find out, I don't own a full-size shovel. Dad and I dug this bed out, along with the giant rocks, with a garden shovel. You can guess who did the most work.

Isn't this set awesome? These chairs are the real vintage deal. Mom rescued them from the garbage man and refinished them with a nice paint job.

My succulents love their new home. They like sun, need a little water -- that's my kind of plants.

My new birdbath. It's out front, but the birdies love it.

Geraniums make me happy.

This is salvia, and the butterflies love it.

Happy Spring!
